So once again i owe my latest challenge to ‘Craft Stamper’ magazine. (August 2012 Issue)
This technique uses Highlighter pens and Distress ink to create a great back ground.
And here is my finished creation. I have to say that i love this card and technique.
So come on fellow crafters get out those highlighters and have a go!
Well Yesterday was my step-Dads birthday so here are his cards!
This up, up and away balloon themed Birthday card Was made using black and white card, Distress ink, KaiserCraft papers (Timeless) and Bakers Twine.
I love the contrast with the rainbow coloured tag and the black card.
The other King for a day inspired card i made is also in black and white and uses Kaisercraft paper from the same pad.
Hope you enjoy!
Here is another card creation. This time a thank you card.
I made this card by using distress ink on some white card then uses a background stamp again with distress ink in a contrasting colour. I used some wastage from using my nestabilties as a frame and then decorated with butterflies and stamped dragonflies!
Hope you enjoy and happy crafting!
Thank you for dropping by. Well here is another inky creation inspired by Craft Stamper magazine.
This is the finished article:
But i have made lots that i haven’t finished as cards yet!
So here they are:
They are made by using distress inks to ink up your background. If you want some grungyness then flick water onto the inky paper and blot with paper towel.
For the next step you must wait until any water splashes are dry (as mica sticks to any moisture)
Use a background stamp and distress ink on the dry paper and then sprinkle mica over the top (run in with a brush), Don’t forget to save the excess.
Then stamp away to your hearts content!
Hope you have enjoyed this inky adventure!
See you soon
Well Christmas may have gone already but there is always time to start on this years Christmas cards! So here are some i have been making!
This card uses My Minds Eye papers and Nestabilties dies. Love the paper so have to find a design that really used it too the full.
Here is a close up
Hope you enjoy
Hello Again All,
Well I love inky fingers! So this project was right up my street! It was inspired by an article in Craft Stamper magazine http://www.craftstamper.com/ (I’m sorry i can’t remember which issue).
I inked the piece of cotton lightly, then with a mask on top i inked again (guess what? My Mask has butterflies on!!) and then using Stazon ink stamped my images. I have hand sewn mine because i am rubbish with a sewing machine!
Here are some close-ups
I am thinking a will either use my ‘ikle quilt on a card or scrapbook layout.
Let us know if you like Inky fingers too!
Well as you know i love Pinintrest! And just happened to stumble across yarn wreaths. As a florist all things wreathy are a love of mine!
Well here is my very Cerise pink wreath!
Sorry about my socks in the picture, but a least they are matching 😉
The wreath took about 40 minutes to wrap the yarn onto.
See you all soon
