More Distress inky Fingers!

Standard

Hello All,

This Card was inspired by this wonderful post (http://stampinginspiredby.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/another-little-tutorial.html), I have used both the techniques before but the colours where amazing so i had to have a go!

The larger mat is made by using Distress ink and then splatting water onto it (one of my Favorite techniques!) and the smaller mat uses white card and embossing powder that resists the Distress ink! So much fun as i love getting inky!

Here are some close-ups

Went a bit multi coloured on the background here but if you have the distress ink i always feel the need to use it!

The tag here uses Kaisercraft stamps. The Butterflies on the front of the card are also KasierCraft.

I am going to submit this card to Split Coast stampers for their new mixed media challenge (it was shiny and matt this time!)

See you all soon

Hello Again,

Well i thought i should really make some Valentines Cards! So here they are. They use the Sketch  SC421 from Spilt Coast Stampers ( Oh How love that site!)

The papers are by Kate Knight (totally tropical) and the embellishments We are memory Keepers (Which i have had for a while!)

Inky Grungy Background with Mica!

Standard

Hello Again,

Thank you for dropping by. Well here is another inky creation inspired by Craft Stamper magazine.

This is the finished article:

But i have made lots that i haven’t finished as cards yet!

So here they are:

They are made by using distress inks to ink up your background. If you want some grungyness then flick water onto the inky paper and blot with paper towel.

For the next step you must wait until any water splashes are dry (as mica sticks to any moisture)

Use a background stamp and distress ink on the dry paper and then sprinkle mica over the top (run in with a brush), Don’t forget to save the excess.

Then stamp away to your hearts content!

Hope you have enjoyed this inky adventure!

See you soon

‘Sending love your way’: using up odds and ends

Standard

Hello All,

I have a love for green and turquoise so there are often scraps of these around my craft table. Well i saw this amazing card on Pinintrest (http://pinterest.com/pin/44824958763287076/) and inspired i set to work!

Here is my card

I used my favorite Kaiser craft stamps, Hero Arts stamps and Distress ink in Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and broken China (I do rather love distress ink!) The Embossing folder is by Tim Holtz.

Hope this inspires you to give one a go!
